Future CareersWith help from Azusa Pacific University, Citrus College and Cal Poly Pomona, Center held a Passport to the Future exhibition. Students not only got a first hand look at a variety of careers, but professors from the colleges were on hand to explain what courses were needed in high school to help prepare for each career. Principal Lynne Jorgensen said students got a first hand look at colleges and careers, which helps them better prepare for fields that interest them. We Welcome ParentsWhen visiting our school you must check into the office. You are welcome to visit, and we encourage you to volunteer. If you need to check your child out early from school, please come to the office. You need to sign them out, and we will call and have them come to the office. |
Message from Principal Lynne JorgensenWelcome to Center Middle School, home of the Cougars and a National AVID Demonstration Site. We are proud to have a staff that puts students first and supports learning for all. Our goal is that all students have strong character and are college bound as successful readers and writers, and prepared for higher level math. We believe in a strong home school partnership. Every child will have a Student Agenda that will daily list homework, activities, and projects. The agenda is our regular communication tool between school and home. Parents and community members are supported through our bimonthly Coffee Club and volunteer activities. We welcome and encourage parent involvement because we believe to be successful, we must be a team! Let’s work together for success for ALL!
